Nice to meet you! My name is Meagan.
A few months after graduating college in 2016, I had landed my first full-time job – a data analyst within the Travel department of a huge media company. However, instead of actually traveling, I was stagnant behind an office cubicle. As a result, my wanderlust had accumulated over time. I wanted to seek out the world.
And so I did. However, one hiccup I’ve realized online is that there are not many travel blogs out there that talk about the actual events that happen around the world. There have been countless of times where I would sign up for an event, but still have no clue what to expect. Or there would be times where I would go onto social media, and see an event’s hashtag trending and wonder, “how did I not know that was happening today? I would have definitely attended!”
Introducing the start of My Life Parade
Categorically, My Life Parade would be considered a travel and fashion tips blog. However, what makes My Life Parade different from the hundreds of other travel/fashion blogs out there is that it’s aim is to showcase the many events that are out there in the world. I will also offer many tips on what to bring, what to expect, what to wear, and how to prepare for such events. So, if you have a wanderlust but also want to get the inside scoop on different festivals and experiences worldwide, then you have come to the right place. 🙂
Why the name “My Life Parade”?
Simple – I personally believe that life is a celebration. We all go through different journeys and experiences (metaphorically speaking, kinda like the floats in a parade) in life and along the way, we meet an abundance of people who teach us a lesson. Some experiences are joyful, vibrant, and festive, however others are not. But at the end of the day, life keeps on moving and we need to experience it to the fullest.
